When eighteen-year-old Wenda discovers that she is to be married off to a nobleman easily old enough to be her grandfather, she concocts a desperate plan to avoid that fate. Lord Talus, who was like an older brother to her growing up, will marry her instead—she is quite decided on it.
The only problem with this plan is the fact that Talus refuses it outright. Wenda has grown into a beautiful woman, but he has known her since she was a child and he cannot bring himself to expose her to the dark, hungry, sexual side of him which she would see as his wife.
Talus underestimates the lengths to which Wenda will go to carry out her plan, however, and he finds a marriage with her forced upon him by false allegations that he has stolen her maidenhood in the night. For her part Wenda soon learns, to her dismay, that her new husband is well within his rights to bare his young wife’s bottom and chastise her firmly for her scheming. Moreover, he intends to thoroughly enjoy every curve of her beautiful body once he feels the time is right to have his way with his new bride.
Five Star Review!
Two of my favorite authors have penned a book together, Lords and Ladies. I can tell you for certain, though I love them both separate, two in one book was off the chart. Both stories are the perfect mix of discipline and sexual tension culminating in extremely hot sex scenes that were both romantic and sensual and naughty at the same time.
Under Siege is a story of a woman who has been left a widow and is doing the best to take care of her castle all by herself with several older knights also trying to protect their Lady. The castle, as well as Lady Camilla, is in great need of being taken care of and Sir Barlen rides in to do just that. Renee Rose does a fantastic job of not letting Sir Balen grow too fond of the Lady despite her attitude and need to do everything herself for he believes her to be a married woman. After several trips over his muscled thighs Lady Camilla begins to have feelings, the sort of feelings she has not thought about anyone in a long time, and eventually concedes that she may want him to stick around. The ending can be guessed from the happily ever after that the genre is famous for, but there are twists that leave you wondering how it will all play out. Extremely well written and very hot. I wish that I could give ten stars as Quite Decided is due five of its own.
I literally could not put my ipad down once I started to read it. Korey Mae Johnson wrapped me right up in Wenda's tale and fear of being wed to a man over five decades older than she. Her plan is mischievous and light hear ted until Lord Talus tells her that he will not marry her and that she is to honor the plan of marrying the much, much, MUCH, older Count. Wenda, distraught and unstable comes up with and enacts a plan so awful that she is lucky the outcome plays in her favor. I can not say much more or risk giving away the tale, but literally I feared at one point that her bottom would remain red and blistered until the day that she takes her last breath. Easily caught up in their story and would love to see more about these two. This was actually my first book by Korey and it certainly will not be my last. Incredible story-teller.
