Adaline:I am SO excited to have Ashe over today! I will let her take it away. Best of luck with your new release!
Ashe: Hi Adaline, and thank you so much for inviting me over today to chat a bit about First Impressions. This will be my second release with Baronet Press, and I’m loving working with them again.
First things first - just check out this super-sexy cover!
Adaline: *drools appropriately* I love it!
Ashe: First Impressions is all about not taking everything you see at face value. Both Aidan and George start out by making assumptions about each other, which turn out to be a long way from the truth. Still, that makes for some interesting discoveries as the story unfolds. Luckily they are both pretty adaptable people so manage to adjust their thinking somewhat, which is when the real fun starts. Even so, there are still some surprises waiting for them as George gets to grips with ripping Aidan’s rickety old house apart.
Here’s the blurb…
First Impressions can be deceptive. Aidan Blake needs a plumber. Fast. His boiler is dead, his creaky old house crumbling around him. When his elderly neighbour recommends a local trader, George Mahon, Aidan jumps at the prospect of hot water and warm radiators.
But George, short for Georgina, is not exactly what he had in mind. He was expecting something else entirely. A man for one thing, not the gorgeous single mother he finds in his house at the end of a long day of work.
Aidan turns out to be full of surprises too. Who would have imagined the smartly dressed businessman would have a BDSM playroom in his attic and a collection of whips and canes that makes George’s head spin. And her bottom clench, though that’s another matter entirely. What does a girl have to do to get to play with those toys?
Just ask, it would seem. As they enter into a professional and personal agreement which soon blossoms into a sultry, kinky relationship, George continues to be surprised by Aidan's kindness and generosity, not to mention his skill with a spanking paddle.
First impressions aside, the two begin to build something together. And while they peel back the layers to discover their hidden depths, the old house yields up the mysteries of its own secret past. They soon realise that at first glance, nothing is ever quite as it seems.

Adaline: *waiting with baited breath* Did you bring a sexy snippet to share?
Ashe: And an excerpt… *Adaline grins*
She set to chiselling the walls to make space for the new wiring. Her radio was playing, she was concentrating on what she was doing, and did not hear Aidan coming up the stairs. She let out a small scream when he came up behind her and asked how she was getting on.
"Oh, you gave me a shock." She reached for the hammer she’d dropped and placed it neatly next to her chisel, then knelt on the floor looking up at him. He had a cup of coffee in one hand which he placed on a shelf above her head. He seemed disinclined to move away, which gave George ample time to take stock of the erection which bulged his casual black jeans.
Is that for me? She didn't feel she looked especially alluring, not in her work overalls, steel toe-cap work boots and with her hair bundled up in a baseball cap, but the evidence was clear enough and quite literally before her eyes. She tilted her head back to meet his cool blue gaze.
"Thank you. For the coffee, I mean."
"You’re welcome. So, how is it going?"
"Oh, fine. Really well, actually. I might even finish earlier than I expected."
"Ah, so no need to invoke the penalty clause then. Should we be discussing incentives for excellent performance perhaps?"
"What, you mean I add a hundred quid to my bill for every day I save from the seven weeks?"
"Not exactly. I confess I’m still thinking in terms of a spanking, but a nice one. I suspect you might like it, and I know I would."
"Why… why do you think I would like it?" Her voice was breathy, her heart rate soaring. And what her pussy was getting up to was simply disgraceful.
"Because I see the way your pupils dilate when I mention it, and I can hear your arousal in your voice as you reply. Oh, and of course there’s the fact that you can't take your eyes off my cock." He lifted one eyebrow as though challenging her to deny any of his claims.
George didn't bother to contradict him. "I’ve never…, I mean…"
He crouched before her, bringing his eyes level with hers and reached for her chin to cup it in his palm. "Would you like to?" His tone was gentle but not soft. Even as he smiled at her he exuded a sense of power, control. And he made her feel safe.
"Yes." Where did that come from?
"Okay. Would you like to try it with me?"
"Yes." And that?
"Good. You’ll have questions I expect."
At her brief nod, he reached to pull a small notepad from his back pocket. "Write them down. When you’re ready come and find me. I’ll be in my office, or downstairs."
"Oh but, don't you want to…? I mean, in here, with all this stuff?"
He looked around, his gaze settling on the spanking bench. "Ah George, that would be nice. And yes, soon. But I do think we need to talk first, don't you?"
"I suppose… I don't know."
"I do. Trust me, we deal with your questions first, or at least some of them. Come and find me when you’ve written your list." He stood. "Don’t forget your coffee." With that, he turned on his heel and was gone.
More about me…
I’ve been an avid reader of fiction for many years, erotic and other genres. I still love reading, the hotter the better. But now I have a good excuse for my guilty pleasure – research.
I tend to draw on my own experience to lend colour, detail and realism to my plots and characters. An incident here, a chance remark there, a bizarre event or quirky character, any of these can spark a story idea.
When not writing – which is not very often these days - my time is divided between my role as resident taxi driver for my teenage daughter, and caring for a couple of dogs, two tortoises. And a very grumpy cockatiel.
I have twenty seven (at the last count) titles on general release with publishers on both sides of the Atlantic, and I have several more in the pipeline. All my books feature BDSM. I write explicit stories, always hot, but they offer far more than just sizzling sex. I like to read about complex characters, and compelling plots, so that’s what I write too. Strong, demanding Doms are a given, often paired with new submissives who have a lot to learn.
I have a pile of story ideas still to work through, and keep thinking of new ones at the most unlikely moments, so you can expect to see a lot more from me.
