"I have another question first. Do you engage in the types of relationships you mentioned?" She took tiny sips from the mug so she didn't choke. 

"Yes." 

Audra waited for him to elaborate, but he didn't offer further explanation. Could he possibly mean if they got into a relationship that she could expect the same type of dynamic?  "I've been thinking a lot about what you described tonight." She leaned back in her chair as well. "Everyone seemed so happy and in tune with each other the other night. The men and women you could just feel all the love in the room. Seriously, it was amazing. Even after I ran out, when I returned, no one seemed to judge me."  Audra shook her head. "I'm, uh babbling."

 "You haven't answered my question yet." Clay dropped his arms. "Are you asking for your own sake? Or is it just because you have questions but no real interest there?"

 "I know you hired me just to serve some food at a posh party, but I felt a real connection with your friends. Yeah, I do this winter fairy get-up in a social setting, but I'm not good at going out and actually meeting people like I sort of explained before. So tonight, before everything happened, Amanda gave me her phone number. I found out she and I have a great love of poetry readings. We're going to the local library together next week to attend one. It's really unusual for me to make plans. I'm not good at keeping them. If she got me to open up enough to want to hang out, then I can't judge her or anything." 

"You're dancing around the question, Audra." 

She rubbed a finger along the mug, then along the table. How the hell did she answer him? Why did his voice alone make her want to beg him for more?  "I want to know how it feels. The rules, the guidance, the punishments. All of it." Audra risked a glance but then dropped her head down at her confession. She heard his chair shuffle along the floor, then found her chin tilted upwards, caught between the thumb and pointer finger of his right hand. 

 "Would you like me to give you a spanking?" 

Audra gulped hard. After a moment her breath came out in gasps and she blinked up at him wordlessly. He looked so serious and sincere, but she couldn't bring herself to answer. Finally, she nodded twice. 

"Verbally answer me, please." 

"Uh, yeah." Huge waves of heat washed over her and beads of sweat trickled down from her brow. 

"Yes, please." 

"Come over to the couch with me." Clay let go of her chin and held out his hand. 

She hesitantly placed hers in his and let him lead her to the couch. 

"If you are uncomfortable at any time, for any reason, I want you to tell me. Am I understood?" He dropped her hand, then removed his suit jacket.  What he did next sent delicious shivers up and down her spine. First, he unbuttoned his dress shirt at the wrist and slowly rolled it up to his elbow. Clay repeated the action with his left sleeve, then sat down on the couch. He patted his thigh, another gesture which sent more shivers, but this time they went all over her body.

Six Sentence Sunday :WIP Doctor's Orders

Matt pulled out a glass thermometer from his bag and Leeann balked and swatted at it. It slipped from his fingers and smashed beautifully into the side of her coffee table before sprinkling down to the floor. She watched it shatter in horror as he shook his head slowly and crossed his arms over his chest.

 “I just didn’t want it up my…I mean in my…..I was so embarrassed at the office…” Leeann faltered as the shadow of a smirk played on his lips. Was he laughing at her?

“Well, unfortunately for you, that was my oral thermometer.”

This is just after Dani is rescued from the group of werewolf hunters. She is a dominant female, red-haired wolf which is rare in the part of the county that she is in. The door opened and slammed causing Dani to jump. “Do you have any idea what I went through to find you last night? What the rest of the pack went through? Do you?” Mason’s power filled the room and Dani immediately regretting speaking to Phil in such a fashion.

Dani shook her head. “No one has ever looked out for me before.”

Mason ran his hand through his hair. “Get over here.” He sat down on the bed.

“I don’t want to come over there.” Dani glanced out the window. It was just getting dark outside. Where would she be right now if he and his pack had not found her?

“You have already tried my patience today. Come here.”

Dani stood stiffly and walked towards the bed. “I did not do anything wrong.”

“You disrespected my second in command. He went and sat with Alisha while she was freaking out for hours.”

“I didn’t ask him to.” Dani bit her lip again. This man was getting under her skin again.

“I told him to.” Mason motioned with his hand.

Dani stood there watching him. She did like his attention. Phil had been right about that but she dreaded the idea of him spanking her. She did not like submitting to him. “I don’t want you to spank me again.”

“Then you should have thought about that before growling at a man who put your needs ahead of his own.” Mason held his hand out to her.

“I didn’t ask you to come and rescue me!” Dani yelled down at him. “I didn’t ask you to come to my store and drag me out into the open! I’ve been on my own for years!”

“If your best friend did not call me you would be dead in the woods with a bunch of hunters jacking off on your corpse.”

Dani took his hand and he pulled her over his lap. “I am afraid." Dani felt him pull down her leggings. “Afraid of my feelings.”

“

You tell me all about your feelings after I teach you what I will do every time you disrespect me.”

“Mason-“ Dani started when she his hand began to smack.

Mason increased his speed. “You will be a part of the pack even if you wind up like this every day.”

Dani yelped and squirmed. “Is this what you do to all the females in your pack?”

Mason stopped and flipped her over. “I would not give any other female this much of my time.”

Dani squirmed again until she had wriggled her leggings up to her waist. She was breathing heavy but blinked her eyes at him. “What?”

Mason flipped her back over and began to smack on top of the pants. “For starters, any female in my pack already respects me. If she does get out of line then it is up to her mate to take care of that. If she has no mate then I have two very loyal men that are more than happy to do some attitude adjusting.” As he spoke his stroke increased as well.

“What does it really mean if you claim me?!” Dani was sniffling and trying to stay still. Her butt was burning.

 Mason said nothing as he continued to rain his hand down upon her cheeks.

“I want to know!” Dani bucked. She heard Mason’s belt buckle and immediately her butt was bare again. “Shit.” She muttered. His leather belt was now kissing the very top of her thighs right where it met her butt cheek.  For several minutes only the sound of Mason’s belt hitting her flesh was heard. Dani tried to wiggle forward when his other hand moved across her lower back.

Mason continued for another minute or so. “Are you ready to have a real conversation now?”

Dani said nothing as she lay limply against his legs and nodded. She felt him fix her pants and she was now lying on the bed. He sat on the edge and was fixing his belt.  “I need to know before I submit to something like that.” She whispered.

Mason lay back on the bed and propped himself up with an elbow. “You would have the pack’s protection at all times. You would support my decision in all matters. “

“And babies?” Dani whispered as she looked into those damn brown eyes again.

“Yes we would make pups.” Mason touched her face. “But I will not force myself upon you. Once I claim you, it is permanent and I will not have you hate me for the rest of your life.”

“I don’t know if I even want that.” Dani whispered again.

“Then why are you still here? Why did you come over to the bed knowing full well that I would spank you?” Mason sat up.

“Maybe I’m not as smart as you think that I am.” Dani crossed her arms in front of her.

“You didn’t learn a damn thing just now did you?” Mason threatened.

Dani sighed and got off the bed. “I’m having a hard time with this.”

Mason got up and took her hand. “I have thought of another way to show you.”

Dani huffed as he pulled her out of the room. Her butt was still burning but it was her reluctance to accept what she so desperately wanted that was really bothering her. “What ? Are you gonna spank me in front of your pack?”
